I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the food and beverage industry and how it differs from other industries and how we as consumers can make a difference in the industry.
One of the most common things I hear is the opinion that the industry isnt all that great. I feel this is the right sentiment. Sure, Ive worked in a lot of different industries and Ive met a lot of different people who worked in a lot of different industries, but Ive never seen such a polarizing view of the industry. A lot of people will tell you that a person who works in the food industry isnt really a food industry worker.
This is so true! It takes a kind of extreme to create a polarized view of the industry. But what I want to show you is how we as consumers can make a difference in the industry by simply making choices based on our beliefs and values. Because every time a customer makes a choice, it is a choice a buyer makes for a business.
A couple of years ago I was in Las Cruces, NM and was just looking at the state parks on the way to dinner. I was in a spot where the only business I knew was a taco truck. So I decided to stop in the restaurant and have a taco. I got ready to take my place and before I could even take my shot, I noticed the man behind the counter was watching me and started to walk away. I was shocked.
When you think about the nature of business, you think about the way it is affected by beliefs and values. If a customer buys a product, it is a choice the buyer makes for a business. When a customer chooses to buy a company, the choice the buyer makes is a choice the buyer makes for the business. When a buyer buys from a company, it is a choice the buyer makes for the company. This is really why we are in Las Cruces.
The people you meet at the harbor freight (which I’ll call it) are people who do what they can to help a business. In a way, they are like the business. They are not customers, but they are still products of the company. When you buy a product, you are buying from the business. When you buy from a company, you are buying from the people.
In business, you’re buying something that is something that will help the company. In the case of shopping for a company, you are buying from the people who make the product. The people you meet at the harbor freight are your customers, and they are the ones that make the company what it is.
So when a ship is under attack, people go down to the local merchants to find out what ship is under attack. When you go down to the local merchants to find out what the ship is, you are going to find the people who make the ship what it is. That the ship is a good thing as a customer should mean that the people who make the ship are good people. People who make the ship have the ability to make it a great thing.
So when a ship is under attack, the people who make the ship have the ability to make it a good thing. A good way of looking at it is, if a ship is under attack, the people who make the ship should be able to react quickly and come up with a plan to protect the ship. That’s probably the best way of looking at it.
I guess that’s the best way of looking at it. As a general rule, good people will respond to problems quickly and take care of them. Bad people will be unable to react quickly and take care of problems, and when they do get to work on it, they’ll probably make it worse. That’s the idea of thinking like a person with self-awareness.
