If someone was to ask me how I would quantify my life, I’d probably say, “I’d say I measure myself,” but I wouldn’t say that without thinking about it.

In a world where we measure ourselves in so many ways, we have to take into account all of these different measures into one. In metric, we can take measurements that are easy to record and easy to take a picture of. In metric, we can say something is the length of a certain piece of string; in metric, we can say that the value of two things are equal.

This is an example of why my friend, who is an English teacher, keeps telling me that my first language is not English. It’s not English, but it IS pretty interesting.

Another way to think about this is that you can use a small number in the metric system to set up a long series of numbers with a large number in the imperial system. This works in reverse too, so you can use a big number in the imperial system to set up a series of small numbers in the metric system.
