The most common question I get asked at this point in my training as a Certified Welding Instructor is “what do I do with this welding kit?”. The answer to this question is a little more complex than it may first appear. The first thing that comes to mind is that welding is a great way for you to use your hands to create something new, but there is a difference between the two. The first is the skill of the person creating the weld.

The most common mistake that I see people make when trying to weld plastic is that they think that they can do it because they have a little welding kit like this that they can just stick a little plastic rod in and start welding. This is a gross simplification.
